After graduating from York St John University in 2007 I worked in the NHS where I completed the basic rotations. Following this I then specialised in Stroke rehabilitation where I worked in Bishop Auckland Hospital for over 7 years. I then moved into private practice working for Neural Pathways in Gateshead, working with some very complex clients in the community following brain injuries. I then moved across to Tees Neuro Physiotherapy, working with clients with a variety of Neurological conditions.

With this experience behind me I was keen to develop a service in the Durham area, where I live, where Neuro Physiotherapy provision has been lacking for some time. I set up Durham Reach Neuro Physiotherapy in July 2021, while also working at The Bridge Neurological Care Centre in Middlesbrough. In November 2022, Durham Reach Neuro Physiotherapy became my full time job.

Being able to offer clients rehabilitation in their own homes is very rewarding and meaningful. I can be quite creative within the home environment to ensure clients receive more goal orientated therapy, meaning they become more functional within the home again. I love my job and I am extremely passionate about my role in enabling people to reach their potential following injury or illness.

I am a busy mother of two boys and when I’m not working I enjoy time with my family outdoors, walking and exploring. I love to dance and if I’m not dancing you will find me in a nice restaurant or bar in or around Durham.
